R. St Barth is an exceptional range of artisanal rhums, they epitomize the authentic aromas, luxurious flavours and gentle way of life of the French Caribbean.
Opened recently in March 2011, the flagship store is located on Rue du Generale de Gaulle, in Gustavia. The rhum is the creation of French International footballer, Mikael Silvestre and his wife, Severine.
R. St Barth offers three varieties of agricole rum.
R. St Barth COOL Blanc rum is perfect for a ti punch or a cocktail. It is authentic rum agricole, made from hand-selected cane with high sugar content. Pure and crystal-clear, it is powerful with great finesse. The aromas are characterized by vanilla and spices; on the palette, it is well rounded, fruity and vanilla notes shine through.
R. St Barth CHIC Ambre rum is the ideal aperitif – mojito, daiquiri or a long drink served in a chilled glass. The golden highlights of vanilla, cinnamon and cane syrup, combined with subtle notes of caramel and fine, fruity flavors stem from distilling traditions and four-year aging in oak cask barrels. This subtle, light and luxurious rum can be served to perfectly round off a meal perfectly round off a meal.
R. St Barth Authentic is a fine rum of rare age. Created from sugarcane harvested in 1998, matured in vats and distilled with traditional knowledge, this authentic rum agricole has aged for 12 years in oak barrels. Bottled in early 2011, it is unfiltered, and has a natural alcohol content of 43% by volume. This rich, mahogany colored rum has hints of acacia wood. It is a limited edition rum of only 2,000 numbered bottles.
R. St Barth created a unique glass to savor neat. Served ideally to round off a meal, each note can be distinguished: there are aromas of vanilla and cinnamon, and caramelized, oaky notes with hints of spices, plum and cherry. On the palate, it is generous and well-rounded: the superb richness reveals flavors of dried fruits, toasted almond, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and licorice, and the long finish is lightly smoky and pleasantly subtle.
We encourage our customers to come to the store for a taste of the rum of St Barth.
