Comfortably settled in their new store on Rue General du Gaulle in Gustavia, Albert Yaphet and Jo-Anne Quetel are the owners and curators of the collections at Les Artisans, a wonderful blend of jewelry store and art gallery.
They feature work by a wide range of international jewelers as well as their own creations designed using precious metals, gems, and pearls.
The artists and jewelers they represent in St Barth include Dave Stevenson with a series of bronze sculptures, silver and gold jewelry, plus a collection by Ross Coppleman comprising of turquoise, gold and diamonds.
The gallery also represents French artist Alain Le Chatelier, whose work ranges from whimsical garden scenes to his most recent collection based on the images of St Barth.
Native American pieces, high karat gold pieces with precious stones, diamond pendants, and St Barth island jewelry can also be found among the mix of eclectic fine jewelry at Les Artisans, where Albert, Jo-Anne, and Agnes can also be called upon for imaginative one-of-a-kind custom pieces.
This charming boutique features a wide range of prices that appeal to island residents as well as visitors, many of whom stop by for cocktail receptions during the winter season to celebrate the work of visiting artists and jewelers.
